Recycling clothing

So I picked up this top at a consignment store and I actually thought it might fit me.  I love green so the color is perfect – check. The frills are oh so fashionable right now – check.  The price was $2 – check.  The fabric is a great stretchy, comfy mixture – check.  The size is a Junior medium – um, maybe no check?   (more…)

Reusing stale bread

So if you’re like me, you sometimes forget you have a loaf of bread until it’s too late.  So I had to come up with some good ways to use stale bread (and by stale, I mean day old bread that is hard and not growing stuff).  My favorite way is to make french toast.  After that, I make croutons and finally, if it’s really stale, we go down to the local duck pond and my daughter has some free entertainment for half an hour. Clever Ways to Use a Knitting Counter

The gym I go to has small track.  16 laps = 1 mile.  I don’t know about you, but I lose track after lap 2 and about lap 4, I think, I’ve definitely run a mile by now.  So I decided to use my knitting counter to help me keep track of my laps.  And you know what?  A mile is a lot longer than I thought 🙂 (more…)
