Meanwhile, the boys and I are waiting on AT’s return from a week away on a business trip to Indonesia–suffice-it-to-say, we are excited to see him in a few hours and relieved to know that as we speak, he’s actually on U.S. soil.

The mini cantaloup from our garden

Here’s boy #5 with one of the cantaloup from our garden, yes, it really is as small as it looks.  But, it was fully ripe and fell off the vine, so we cut into tiny pieces and nibbled away at it.  We have four or five more growing, hoping they’ll be full-sized, then maybe we can actually fill up on them!  Our tomatoes from our salsa garden are done, the severe drought we had made them stop growing.  Now our salsa garden is a bunch of hot peppers (which apparently love hot, dry weather) with no salsa to put them in.  Oh well, maybe next year…
